Welcome To Troop 494!

Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all. ----Helen Keller (1880 - 1968)

Our Troop meets on Tuesday evenings from 7:15 - 9:00 pm in room A-200 at Dunwoody Baptist Church. We offer a challenging, traditional Scouting program - a game with a purpose! Through weekly meetings and monthly campouts, the boys learn to function as a team in their patrols. Leadership skills are learned hands-on in the outdoor classroom. The Scout Oath, Law and Motto guide all of our actions. If you are interested in a boy-led, traditional Scouting program, we welcome you to visit us. Stop by one of our meetings, or contact our Scoutmaster. The Scoutmaster is Brent Allen (scoutmaster@dunwoody494.mytroop.us) The Troop Committee Chair is Lee Firebaugh (committeechair@dunwoody494.mytroop.us)

Often the difference between a full life and a cramped existence is measured in terms of our opportunities to test our physical strength against the elements of the wilderness. ----W.K. Merrill The Hiker's & Backpacker's Handbook
